| Below are the tests that we use to classify merchants on MyAffair.com. Athough most may receive free listings, a few others do not qualify. Please read below to determine the best way to get listed on our site. | | | | 1. Excluded Industries
| | | Certain businesses simply to not fit with the vision we have for MyAffair.com, and are therefore not listed or advertised on our site.
These include those involved in anything considered adult, gambling-related, illegal, offensive, pharmaceutical, etc...
| 2. Product Vendors
| | | MyAffair.com is built for the service industry, but our customers may be interested in products as well. Businesses that exclusively sell or rent physical items (products) can gain more exposure through MyAffair.com, but need to look into our EZ-Listing service. These businesses can be based in any country, as long as they ship to the United States. International or Non-USA businesses should click here.
Examples of such businesses are: Florists, Invitations, Party Favors, Table Rentals, Tuxedo Rentals, Wedding Accessories, etc...
| 3. Complex Availability
| | | We pride ourselves in supplying merchants with the most targeted referrals on the web, and try our very best to do so. Businesses that cannot properly represent their availability using the tools on MyAffair.com may get invalid referrals from us, and may mislead our mutual customers.
In general, if a merchant can provide their services AT THE SAME TIME as the date and time of another event, their availability calendar may be too complex for this site. The most extreme cases are hotels and motels, whose availability is too complex to be handled by any generic tool. MyAffair.com CAN be used for hall rentals and any catering services offered, but we do not feel that these businesses can properly represent their room-rental availability using our existing tools. Again, this may result in an inappropriate representation of those services to our customers. MyAffair.com can help these businesses gain more exposure, but their account must be set up to bypass availability checks with our EZ-Listing service.
Examples of such businesses are: Cake Designers, Calligraphers, Gown Preservation, Hotels, Travel Agencies, etc...
