Wedding reception music and entertainment has never been so much fun! Special requests are welcome. Mirage can perform with several different instrumentation options from three (3) pieces up to eleven (11). All bookings of the Mirage Big Band Orchestra come with full sound system and dramatic stage lighting included at no extra cost! As the premiere San Diego wedding band, Mirage will act as your master of ceremonies to help keep receptions moving and on schedule. With the experience of over 300 weddings, they can eloquently announce and introduce your bridal party and family members, as well as help coordinate toasts, acknowledgments and special dedications. Richard Steffens, the leader, bass player and one of the vocalists for Mirage, is a band leader with over 25 years of wedding experience who will be glad to help you coordinate and organize your musical itinerary for the day’s activities. This allows you, your catering staff, photographer, videographer, and other vendors to be all be on the same timetable. We will be available to consult and advise you regarding special musical requests, specific announcements to be made during the reception, or any concerns that may arise regarding the setup and timetable for the band. They have the experience and know the traditional music dances for a Jewish wedding as well as other ethnic dances and songs. All ages have a ball dancing to everything from a waltz, fox-trot and tango to the jitterbug, jump and swing dancing to the big bands sound.
