| | GooseMan Productions is a limited liability company owned by myself, Gustavo Sampaio. I have been producing television programs in major networks for over 7 years. As a producer, I have been in charge of the quality of all video material and the editing done for on-air programming. Therefore, there is no bigger critic of my own work than myself.
Also, in television editing the effects must be motivated. Did you ever watch a demo video where flashy 'eye-candy' type of effects were used for no apparent reason? Just because an effect is available to me, does not mean that I will be using it. I always consider movement, words, music, lighting and numerous other variables in my editing. In addition, I create a 'feel' or a 'look' consistant throughout the video. That means that the colors in the lettering and animations will be coordinated, the pacing will be adequate and the effects will be appropriate.
Finally, my professional experience has been with television, but my training was in film production, which includes all aspects such as camera-work, lighting, story-telling etc. My sense and understanding of lighting along with my story-telling instincts allow me to always position myself in ideal ways to capture events in the best way possible.
