My background
My background includes a degree in psychology and a stint as an author, copywriter and columnist, but I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was in 6th grade.  I gave up my career as an advertising creative because I thrived on the warmth and emotion and sheer beauty of people in love, and people happy to see them in love.

Unscripted moments
Capturing emotions is what I love best. My approach is 'as I see it' - I rarely pose subjects, waiting for just the right light or just the right expression. That's when true emotion comes through. Weddings are a great joy for Rhee. She feeds off of the positive, happy energy, delighting in getting that energy on film of the couple's special day.

She understands that, even though the bride and the groom are the highlight of the day, and that the majority of her attention is on them, that they would want just as many images of moments they couldn't witness. Hugs by friends who haven't seen each other in years, tears from a favorite aunt during the vows, or special shots brothers, sisters, grandparents, fathers and mothers.


Personal work - textureandcolor
There is not a single favorite color in the spectrum. From a slate gray to a vibrant orange, I love them all. And the texture in black and white photography makes you want to reach out and touch the photo. I can't classify my style or my work as 'architectural' or 'lifestyle' because both texture and color come in every kind of image, and I'm not about to miss a thing.

My fine art is in several collections in the Bay area. I'm available for assignments, and most images are available for stock use.  Most recent assignment: San Francisco by Firelight for an upscale lifestyle magazine.

You choose the outdoor location, we spend about an hour together.  Online proofing.  One 8x10 and three 5x7 prints are included. 
 
 By the Book $8,231 
Up to 9 hours with two photographer on your big day.  Online proofing with a proof book.  Your digital negs.  And a library-bound hardcover storybook, full of photos you choose.
