 |  EricVISA (NYC) was initially conceived as Eric Eychenne Collective in Nairobi, Kenya back in 1991 by Eric Mulwa Visa (also known as DJ Eychenne) as part of the now defunct Quality Entertainment Services (Kenya) Ltd. Q.E.S had initially outsourced Eric Eychenne Collective as a resource for DJs, Audio Consultants, Sound Engineers and Music Producers (still the core areas of operation today) for it's regional contracts with clients such as The Hard Rock Café, The Carnivore's Simba Saloon, Club Mischief at the Mayfair Hotel, and the progressive radio breakfast show Cafe Culture on Nairobi's KBC Radio.
With an overhead count of only 3 individuals at the time, Eric Eychenne Collective managed to fulfill all it's operational obligations with Q.E.S. Ltd, with Eric usually having to double-up (or quadruple-up) as DJ, Consultant, Engineer and Producer on all those early projects.
Q.E.S. Ltd. folded in the early 1990s along with the Hard Rock Café (Nairobi) and Eric Eychenne Collective subsequently lost these and other key accounts as clients succumbed to the harsh economic times of that period. It became inevitable that Eric move the operation to a better market - and he did just that. In 1996, EricVISA Collective was set up in London, England.
In this comparatively highly evolved entertainment market, the DJ operation grew tremendously. That growth (coupled with the lack of Support Associates previously involved in the Kenyan market) led to compromised growth in the other three areas of operation. EricVISA Collective did not engage in any Consulting, Engineering or Production until the Summer of 1999 when they acquired a lucrative fixed-term Consulting and Engineering contract for a client in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the fall of 2001, Eric moved the operation once again, this time to the exciting Big Apple as EricVISA (NYC). By February 2003, EricVISA (NYC) had firmly established itself in New York City's B2B entertainment scene. EricVISA (NYC) continues to grow in all four areas of operation, still headed by Eric Mulwa Visa as Principal.
