| How Do You Want to Spend Your Wedding Day? You have a choice. Do you want to go to sleep the night before your wedding day worried about who is going to clean up after the reception? Do you want to spend your wedding day managing people, making sure the caterer was on time, reminding people where to take your gifts? Our would you rather leave your reception and happy, knowing that everything went perfectly and you had fun? You are the expert on your wedding. You have probably dreamed of this day for a lifetime. You have ideas and images you want to bring to life. We are the experts in bringing your image and dreams to life. We make sure that what YOU want happens. Here’s how it works: We schedule a meeting where we talk about what our services entail and what you want for your wedding. You’ll want to schedule an hour and fifteen minutes for this meeting. Feel free to bring your groom, your mother, your bridesmaid-whoever will be making wedding decisions with you needs to be at this meeting. I’ll tell you how I work. I’ll ask you a bunch of questions to get at the heart of what you want. And, we’ll figure out what wedding package works best for you. What I do is to help brides and their families get the most of the preparation process as well as the wedding day. My professional training is in interior design and event planning. The interior design training is the backbone of what I do. A lot of people can help you manage the “to do” lists. Most people do not have the background in image creation and design. My training in special event coordination and planning and bridal consulting brings the professionalism you want and need for your wedding. You want to be able to trust that the person working for you is a professional and capable in creating the day of your dreams. They also need to be prepared and know how to manage an event of your size and scope. And, the sad reality is that most brides don’t realize the number of stressors that will creep up as the planning progresses. Most frequently, brides know that they would love to have my help. They also trust that their friends and family will volunteer to help out the day of the wedding. It’s not until the day of the wedding that they realize how stressed out and upset they are. They suddenly realize that the people they assumed would be going early to the reception site are the same people that they want in the photos. They need the pressure off. And, it’s to late. Brides and grooms are so focused on their love and their future that the practical realities of creating the perfect day can be lost. As much as you want to enjoy your day, you also want your family and friends to be able to enjoy the day also. That’s why many times I find that the parents of the couple are the ones who secure my services. They have watched their friends work hard on their children’s wedding days. They see their friends clearing the room of personal items when they should be treasuring the moments. They know the hours involved. And, the romance of the time does not keep the parents from remembering the hard work involved. Your job as bride and groom is to stay in the romance and love of this time. My job is to take the pressure off of you. As a wedding planner, I spend 12-15 hours working on the day of the wedding. It just takes that many hours to make sure that everything is taken care of. From making sure that the right people get to the church on time to delivering your gifts to your home, you need a team supporting you, so that your family and friends have time to enjoy the party with you.
